02Challenge
|
This project is my final project and it was inspired by research conducted by scholars at Stanford University in the United States, revealing that many individuals in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, refrain from walking due to factors such as the prevalence of private transportation, inadequate sidewalks, and a reluctance to walk in hot weather. Through extensive reading and research, I discovered that the true essence of walking lies in embracing the present, and by attaining this state of mindfulness, one can uncover genuine needs. To truly immerse oneself in the moment, one must awaken the senses. |
03A Walk for Exploration,
Discovery and Tranquility |
Through my exploration of various walking experiences, I have uncovered a range of insightful perspectives regarding walking itself and its profound impact on my personal encounters. In the heart of Old Town, I embarked on a journey of discovery, unveiling new dimensions of the city and its hidden gems. At Cramond Beach, I discovered a profound sense of tranquility that can only be realized when walking becomes an avenu for mindful engagement. The journey to Craigmillar Castle and Park evoked a dynamic mix of emotions - a blend of excitement, adventure, and a touch of exploration. These experiences have provided me with ideas about walking as a means of discovery, exploration, and finding tranquil moments. “Lost in Edinburgh” captures the essence of my exploratory, discovery and adventure I’ve experienced in different locations. |
